Vision et Mandat
Une collaboration du Centre canadien des politiques scientifiques et de The/La Collaborative, the Forum convenes cross-sectoral dialogues that benefit from the input of social sector organisation leaders, social innovation practitioners, decision- and policy-makers, research and higher education policy stakeholders and social and human sciences researchers. Participants engage around deliberative dialogue workshops to create alignment on education, policies and practices and deliver concerted action plans.
The third edition of the Canadian Forum for Social Innovation Forum will be held in Halifax June 2-4 2025 in partnership with Social Innovation Canada and hosted at Dalhousie University.
This year’s gathering will explore themes connected to ecosystem capacity for mission-oriented innovation. Forum 2025 builds on a series of consultative and sense-making workshops, literature reviews, surveys and a national dialogue leveraging backcasting methodologies to produce a Roadmap for Canada’s Innovation Ecosystems. that draft articulate the challenge. In April and May
2024 in Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal and Calgary, we collected input on a preliminary proposal of
the vision and milestones to map the road for Canada’s innovation ecosystem.

De tels défis – par exemple la pauvreté et l'itinérance, le chômage chez les jeunes, le changement démographique et la marginalisation de certaines populations – nécessitent une réflexion et une collaboration soutenues en raison de leur nature complexe. Ils appellent l'innovation sociale pour explorer de nouvelles approches et pour renforcer la résilience, favoriser l’inclusion et accroitre la durabilité.
Au cours des mois d'avril et mai, le Forum canadien pour l’innovation sociale et le Laboratoire d’idées et d’action en innovation sociale de McMaster ont uni leurs forces avec des partenaires clés tels que Social Innovation Canada, le Conseil de l'innovation du Québec et l'université de Calgary pour animer une série d’ateliers délibératifs à Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal et Calgary. L’objectif des ateliers était de tirer parti de l'apport des parties prenantes pour définir une feuille de route pour l'écosystème de l’innovation au Canada.
Les 11 et 12 juin 2024 à Montréal, les invités du Forum participeront à des exercices immersifs de rétropolation visant à créer une vision pour le Canada de 2040 qui adopte l'action collective pour accroître les talents et l'expertise pour l'écosystéme d'impact social et pour les transitions techno-sociales.
